Thomas joined Strategic Perspectives as our Communications Officer in November 2023.
In this capacity, Thomas is responsible for our communication strategy, acting as the guardian of our corporate communications, branding and identity. He tracks national, EU and global narratives on climate and energy delivers our strategic communications across social media and our website.
Thomas’ career began in the Belgian Embassy in Rome where he participated in diplomatic outreach to the United Nations (UN). He then worked on projects for the European Space Agency (ESA) involving strategic planning, content creation and digital marketing. At the same time, he led communication campaigns and donor engagement for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO), and corporate event and communication campaigns management for the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
Thomas holds a Master’s degree in Political Science and Anthropology from the University of Antwerp and the University of Rome (Sapienza). He speaks native Dutch and fluent Italian, French and English, which nurtured his interest in communications work. He is passionate about sports, CrossFit, sailing and cooking.
