Aymeric joined Strategic Perspectives in February 2024 as an Energy Analyst.

In this role, he supports the team in the design and implementation of Strategic Perspectives’ emerging EU gas exit strategy and contributes to research and analysis on gas and the EU energy system and policies. In addition, Aymeric monitors developments, policy decisions and emerging narratives in the European energy debate, providing a strong expertise on the energy transition topics.

Previously, Aymeric worked as an Energy Advisor at the Danish Embassy in Paris,  supporting the bilateral collaboration between France and Denmark on energy policies and technologies. During his time at the Embassy, he worked on different sub-sectors including industry Decarbonisation, Power-to-X (conversion technologies that turn electricity into carbon-neutral synthetic fuels, such as hydrogen, synthetic natural gas, liquid fuels, or chemicals) and biogas. He worked on platforms for knowledge and experience exchanges on policies, expertises and models between both countries where he engaged with various stakeholders including national institutions, business organisations and French regions.

Before joining the Embassy, Aymeric worked for several French energy utility companies, including Enedis, working on smart electricity metering, and at EDF, developing an electricity purchase agreement platform. He was part of the gas regulation team at Engie, focusing on the European Green Deal and market design for renewable and low-carbon hydrogen development in Europe, conducting analyses on a number of  European hydrogen strategies and understanding the regulatory framework, including the various support mechanisms to be activated in order to boost the industry.

Aymeric is based in Paris, France. He speaks native French and fluent English, with a basic knowledge of Danish. He enjoys football, fitness and bike touring and is a DJ in his spare time.
