Jana joined Strategic Perspectives in March 2024 as the think tank’s first Operations Lead.
In this capacity, she supports the Executive Director and Director in day-to-day operational functions including Finance, Human Resources, Administration, Information Technology and Legal. She oversees establishing and maintaining processes, policies, workflows and systems to support effective team work. She also manages our events, both virtual and in-person, and serves as the primary contact person both internally and externally on all operations, contracts and processes.
Jana’s career has already spanned the private, public and nonprofit sectors across five countries. Jana moved back to Europe in late 2020 where she joined the Global Strategic Communications Council (GSCC), now hosted by the Meliore Foundation.
During her time at GSCC, Jana supported the Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer on logistics, projects, events and communications, and provided strategic prioritisation and input.
Prior to moving to Europe, Jana lived in New Zealand where she served as the Personal Assistant to the Chief Data Officer of the Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency, an agency of the New Zealand Government. Prior to moving to New Zealand, Jana was the Head Administrator of a dance academy in Canada.
Jana holds a BA from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. She is currently based in Austria however she has also called Belgium, New Zealand, Canada, the United States and England home. She speaks native English and fluent German, with a basic knowledge of French. She is passionate about discovering and documenting the world.
